Per Press Association. Wellington, August 12. The Legislative committee of the Municipal Association met to-day. It was decided to ask the Government to retain the former duties on iron and fibre pipes; that municipal corporations engaged in such undertakings as tramways, gas works, lighting, etc., be enabled to keep separate banking ac« counts in connection therewith; that plant, material and machinery required by corporation for gas, electric light and water supplies should be admitted free of duty in cases where they cannot be made within the colony.
