A private letter received from Sydujy states that Mr A. li. Fletcher's eyesighjc is still causing him serious concern. Two specialists examined him recently, and gave him to understand that the complete restoration of his aigh,t would bo a matter of some cousiuerable time. Mr W. It. Blow, Auckland manager of the Government Tourist Department, leaves to-morrow for three weeks' holiday. Mr Blow proposes to visit Rotorua and the Hot Lake District, thence to Taumarumi, Pipiriki, and Wellington, via New Plymouth, after visiting Palniarston North. During his absence, his work will be undertaken by Mr Saunders, of Christchurch office.
