ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Per Press Association. Dunedin, July 31. An inquest on the body of J as. Arthur, who died at North-East Valley as the result of an accident at the duplications works on March 0, was held today. The medical evidence showed that death was due to paralysis, resulting liom a fractured spine. The evidence of railway officials was to the effect that a shunting engine buwped inttf a buck, knocking deceased down as lie was about to release the brake. The deceased was pinned to the rail by the wheel of the truck. The jury returned a verdict that deceased met his death by being accidentally thrown from a railway truck.
