In the Land.Judge's Court, Dublin, JusLice Ross, in sentencing six men to three months' imprisonment, for interfering vith the management of an estate in Roscommon by expelling sheep, strongly urged that cattle driving could easily he ended if the Estates' Commissioners withheld advances for land purchase in places where intimidation was practised. He added Commissioners might be restrained. They were the servants of the Executive, and were bound to obey. It was unthinkable that public money hould be used for furthering conspiracy against property.
