BOY'S DOUBLE ESCAPE FROM DEATH.
London, July 6. A five-year-old boy, the son of Frederick, WHjJam 6hepherd, of the Soldiers' Institute, Frimley, had a remarkable double escape from death while travelling hy train between Reading and Maidenhead on Monday.
The boy was looking out of the window of the carriage shortly after the train left Twyford, when the door opened and he fell out. When the train was brought to a standstill the boy was seen walking along the opposite metals, on which an express waa approaching at a high speed.
The boy was Sashed to the ground by the express before his father could reach him, but wten the express passed he rose to his feet and ran towards his father with his head and face covered with blood. His face was badly cut, but has suffered no serious injury.'
