Sydney Buxton, replying to jMr Hennikcr Heaton, expressed the opinion that the weight of evidence overwhelmingly favored ratifying the radiotelegraphic convention. GERMANY BIDDING FOR CONTROL. The Daily Express Berlin correspondent states that a powerful German syndicate is endeavoring to acquire a controlling interest in' the Marconi Company and dependent companies, Tho recent Convention compelled the Marconi station to accept messages from German ami other rival systems, thus depriving the British company of its predominance. The German syndicate, understanding the .Marconi company's, chagrin at the , British Government agreeing at the Con- ' vention, has chosen this opportunity to i bid for the Marconi properties.
