MARLBOROUGH REPRESENTATIONS. Per Press Association. Blenheim, July 25. At a public meeting held in the Town Hall under the auspices of the Marlborough Land and Railway League, speeches were made by the president and other members; also prominent settlers, in favor of a speedy completion of, the railway, and the construction of a new wharf at Picton- Resolution* embodying these proposals were earned, and it was decided to ask the League to organise a deputation from local bodies to interview the Prime Minister and urge, the necessity of th? construction of the Jiast Coast Hue and a new wharf at Picton. The opinion of speakers generally was against the- co-opera-, tive system, and in favor of letting the work by contract.
