ST. JOSEPH'S SOCIAL.
The first of a series of socials in aid of the forthcoming bazaar funds was held at St. Joseph's schoolroom last night. The niglit was an ideal one for dancing, and about 50 couples took the lloor. The music was supplied by. Mrs A. George. A good deal of work had been spent on the tloor, which was appreciated by dancers. The M.C.'s, Messrs ,1. Clarke and H. Dullehr, discharged their duties to the satisfaction of all. The supper was in the capable hands of Mesdamcs D. O'Brien, McCleland, Olliver. Chancy, Mcllardy, Duller, Ryan, McDonald, -and Misses Reynolds, Vandyke, Jennings, McKeon, and Carroll, a sufficient guarantee that" everyone enjoyed this portion of the function. Card tables were, provided for non-dancers. Daring the evening a vocal duet, "Sea of Glass," was nicely rendered by the Misses Moore. Mr McLean sang in good style, "The Yeoman's Wedding Song." Extras were played by Messrs O. West and D. Phillips. The success of the function augurs well for the series of like entertainments to be held at St. Joseph's. (
