The Archbishop of Canterbury and •evenl Bishops interviewed the Government asking for the withdrawal of certain regulations dealing with training college* and secondary schools, on the - ground that the new rules will destroy the present, religious character of the establishments. The Hon. Mr McKenna replied that he was determined that students eho'ild not b« rejected on the ground of religious belief. gir A. GampbeU-Ranßerman said because the Government's great attempt ■t conciliation failed last year, that wu no reason why they should abandon their principles.
