MODERNISM IN FAITH. INTERPRETATION OF GOSPELS. Received 18th, 9.46 p.m. Rome, July Is. A Papal Syllabus, embodying 65 article* on modernism in faith and the leading of the Scriptures, has been c-ir eulated. It decisively condemns all m.-l-ern ideas, which it calls errors, particu larly those concerning the interpretation of the Gospels and the criticism of {he life, works, death and- miracles of Christ. The Syllabus j'so insists on faith in the Church and the Catholic dogmas.
