Coffiagwood stated that he had nat (•ported alterations in the course to the captain as was usual, because th-y were only temporary courses. On other occasions such course* had not ben wported. He could'not account for Ms lint alteration, which was 3v; ,!■■- greet. It might have been a bit more, but he did not look at the coinp.i-s. The alterations brought the bea.-™ from the port bow to the starboaid bow.
