A deputation consisting of Messrs Davey, Willy, G'reenslade, Jennings and Gray, M's.ll.R., waited on the Colonial Secretary to-duy to complain of the practice of having the main rolls for the principal electoral districts executed at the (lovarnment Printing Office. Dr. Findhiy said lie was sure that it was not the desire of the Government to come into competition with apy honest enterprise, and if there was not some insuperable..obs(aele he. agreed with the deputation tlmt the nuiin rolls should be printed by private enterprise.
