FITZROY FIRE BRIGADE.
I here was not a very large attendance lust night at the Fitzroy Fire brigade's hall in the Theatre Royal. The attendance was certainly not what it should have been at a function promoted for Hie purposes of assisting such a useful body as a fin- brigade. But the arrange-, iic-nts wen- quite up to the mark. I iicro was a «r (KK I floor, an j capital imwc, mostly new airs, came from ill's ■eorge s orchestra. Messrs A. Humphries, Weston. T. Hook, and Foreman I ijrkm WW "vrr'<. ti,* com- | mitten comprised Mesdamos V. C. Cirifliths (president), K. Dockrill, J. Tiscli. A. Weller, Stunney, Lamb, and J. Kibbv, and .Misses Tiscli. Martin, Bellinger, and Cut lied. The supper tables, prettily decorated by Misses Martin and Oilfield, were laden with tasty edibles contributed bv die public of New Plymouth and J'ilzroy. Tin- committee, with Mr A. Weller as secretary, deserve cradit for the excellent manner in which all arrangements Were carried out. They certainly merited more generous support.
