A trial game between players from the various clubs in the province was played at Inglewood yesterday afternoon,'lesulling in a win for the A team by 5 goals—McSwan (Carrington Road) 2, Sargeant (liawcra), Marrett ("Carrington Road), and T. P. Anderson (New Plymouth) on each— to one goal, scored by Harris (nglewood). The ground was rather icugh, but on the whole the play was far superior to that m the trial game the Thursday previous.
