NEW PLYMOUTH, MONDAY, JULY 1. Before His Honor, Mr. Justice Button. The New Plymouth sessions opened on Monday morning. ALLEC.ED THEFT OF MONEY. The only criminal case was the retrial of Fred. Fontenella, charged with the theft of JC-11 10s from It. It. Campbell, licensee of the Coronation Hotel, at lilthain, on 7th January last. This charge was given a lengthy hearing at last sessions, and the jury failed to agree 11(1011 a verdict. Mr Kerr prosecuted for the Crown, and Mr T. B. Crump, of Eltbain, defended.

The following jury was empanelled: 11. Cock (foreman),'it. Sole, L. Steele, f. C. Tribe, It, D. Colson, A. C, Downcs, S. Hooper, It. Lainrin.iu, E. Hellicr, C. S. While, W. T. llookhaiu, and 10. C. King.
