Tradesmen and others are rather interested in the proposals for the improvement of the Mill road, as this iresh means of access to the Vogeltown and Harrington road districts, or from there to the Erankley road and west end of tiie town, would greatly shorten and sii'Hplify the tradesmen's cart rounds. The .CiJUU ( loau and £IOO to be contributed by the settlers affected) proposed to be expended would form the road from end to end, ami metal some portions of it, the grade being about one in ten. There is under present circumstances quite a large amount of pedestrian traflic on the road, and this would doubtless increase were the road improved as suggested. Mr Edward A.
