EARTHQUAKE IN THE SOUTH.
Per Press Association. Dunedin, June IS. Two severe shocks of earthquake were felt about S.iitl p.m., but no damage is reported. fnvereargill, June 18. A slight earthquake, preceded by a rumbling noise,, was felt here at 8.30 p.m. « Gore, June 18. A pronounced shoe!: of earthquake was felt in (Jot" to-night at 8..K). The taller brick building!, in tl,.e town creaked rather ominously during the shake, which 1-isted s< veral seconds. 'The movement appeared to be from west to east.
