•JAPAN'S DiITICCLTY iN RAISIN:' MONEY. CONTRACT FOR .MANILA HARRISON SUPPLIES.
Received 11th, 0.40 a.m. Brisbane, June 10. The following news has been received from the Queensland Commercial Agent in the East. The .Japanese papers contrasts the reception accorded Prince Fushima, with the disastrous failure of Takahashi, of the Bank of Japan, who was una!)'-- to raise fresh loans in Europe, and only succeeded in obtaining the renewal of the existing bonds with the help of France. The newspapers assert I that immediately upon America's refusal to assist Takahashi, the Rothschilds demanded exorbitant terms, Ger,many refused to help, and France only reponded m return for tlie promise of the recently-ararnged treaty. Owing to the spread of unrest in Korea, the .Marquis Ito urged the Mikado to accept his resignation as Premier. The Chief Commissioner at Manila has advised that tenders will be open on Ist July for six million six hunderd thousand pounds of frozen beef, and two hundred and ninety thousand pounds of frozen mutton, during the year ending June,
