Tin: opening meet look place yesterday afternoon in Ihe paddocks adjoining the Hell Jilock factory. The 'course chosen Fur Ihe -drag" was an excellent one. and some very line jumping was witnessed. Fully forty members followed, and the run was viewed by very large, numbers from the road. .Mr licit llal-,-ombo, of ITenui, was chosen as master for die day. with -Mr Arthur Clill' as depulv-iuasi"!'. A light lunch repast was partaken of at the factory, previous to die "throw-oil'." and a start was made punclually at I hive o'clock. the .'.iul'sil were: Miss Sole. Messrs llal.■oiiihc. ( lift. The park was supplied by Mr Colson. of l-'it'i-oy. and I hey worked' \ery satisfadorilv considering it was their lirst run Ibis season. Mr I'hlm.ii has made the club a verv generous ..ITer, in connection with the keep of the pack, and the cnni-niiit.-e meets on Saturday to consider il and arrange terms. The uc.vl meet will he held here in die vicinity of Sentry Hill on Thursday week. If die lirst meet is to be taken as a criterion die club is in for a very successful season. A large number of new members has been enrolled, and everyone was most eulhusiardi" concerning the al'lernoon's oiiling. V- and .Mrs Tbiiliorfonl, at. the Hell iilock factory, earned the gratitude of die huntsmen and members by their hospitality, and were accorded three ringing cheer-.
