IMPERIAL EDUCATION CONFERENCE

DEPARTMENTAL REPRESENTATIVES' RESOLUTIONS. Received 11th, 9.42 p.m. London, June 4. The Iducatiou Conference Ims closed.

Representatives of the Education Departments, meeting in private, resolved that a central bureau was essential to encourage effective continuous exchanges of information between the several education departments. It was further agreed that a complete system of mutual recognition of teachers* certificates was impossible in view of variety of local conditions.

It was also resolved that it was desirable that financial administrative arrangements be made to enable teachers and inspectors to acquire experience in various parts of the Empire.
