A final reminder is given of the Rifles' Ball this evening. Those ladies woo have kindly promised dishes arc requested to have the same ready as early as possible this morning, as a conveyance will 1 be sent round to collect. A feature of this year's ball is Ihe number of country people who have intimated their intention of being present, a parry having even arranged to come in from as far back as Purangi. A complimentary concert is to be given in St. Mary's Hall on Wednesday next to Mr A. E. Fletcher, who for many years has been organist to the church, but who has had io retire recently on account of failing eyesight.
