Complaints are rife, about a \lisca e known as Maori itch, which, it is stitj.!, is very prevalent tit the local school. As two Maori ladies were driving home from Parihaka the other day tjhey met with a mishap that was amusing to all but themselves. When near Oaonui they attempted to turn their frap, but misjudged the road and capsized he vehicle into a swamp. Help was forthcoining quickly, and one lady was easily extricated; the other being of large proportions, required the assistance of some half-dozen bystanders before she could be extricated from the swamp in which she was deposited.
