THE STORY OF THE KELLY GANG.
The Sydney Morning Kerala speaks of she first production in Sydney o£ I lie Kelly Gang pictures as follows:—The Palace Theatre presented a lively scene la.st night, with its tier upon tier of crowded humanity. The attraction, under the direction of Messrs J. and N. Tail, was a cinematographic series oi pictures, depicting in detail the lives of Australia's most notorious gang of bushrangers, "The Kelly Gang." Kor tile production of these pictures no-ex-pense lias been spared. Tile scenes were acted by .specially-trained people on the identical scenes of the gang's exploits. The eioi lies, surroundings and effcts are all exactly the same as those used originally, and the result is unique. The scene opens at Kelly's house, and step by htep this well-known story is unfolded. The audience waxes warm with excitement as each crime, more daring thm the last, is perpetrated. The various scenes show tile gang stickingu|> mail coaches, lanks, homesteads, and even tlie police. The subsequent appearance and tracking by troopers, wifh the aid of blackfellows,, are reproduced. Undoubtedly the most. daring exploit, and audacious act, is the sticking-up of the police station and locking up the policemen in charge in a cell. The burning out of the outlaws and the la-t stand of the leader, Ned Kelly, with formidable armor, are also intensely interesting. The pictures are shown with great distinctness and precision, an-' *v"-re than satisfied the audience. A very nueecssful run is ahead of this combination. lectures will, bp shown in New Plymonth on Tuesday evening. S\ats for that night can now be booked at Hip "Dresden.
