Eraser moved: " That the attention of the Minister of Education be directed to the regulations of the Department for conveyance of children by road rr water to public sehools. and that he be informed that in the opinion of the Board regulations are unworkable, and further that tho Minister he asked to consider the propriety, in lieu of above regulations, of empowering Education Hoards to make their own arrangements for the conveyance of children, or com. ' bming smaller schools, provided that every arrangement made be reported in full to the Minister, the Minister to impose such restrictions and regulations as >eom fit to him after ho has before hun tho united experience of tho Board." Tho motion was carried. Mr Praser moved: " That a committee consisting of three or four-membors of the Board, together with inspectors and rectors of district high schools and a representative from each district high school committee, consider the present staffing and curriculum of these schools, with a view of increasing their usefulness as the principal rural schools of the provinoe, and report to the Board at an. early date." Tho motion was carried.
