Per Press Association. Dunedin. .May 15. 'The Rev. A. Don has received a cable gram from the Director of the China Inland Mission at Shanghai in the following terms: "Famine still severe. Harvest expected tenth dune." Mr. Don explains (Iml this means that the problem of feeding the starving people will |„. in the way of licing solved early next month, but considerable assistance will be required for the provision of seed for next year's crops, and for rebuilding houses that bwe been destroyed by Hoods. Mr. Don received a telegram Imm the Key. Mr. Grant, of Cishorne intimating that he had posted a cheque for CMS in aid of the famine relief fund. This, together with CI 10 received during the the last two days, brings the Outlook famine relief fund up to C 1440.
