Per Press Association. Christchureh, May 15. Michael Wall, found guilty at the Supreme Court to-day of assault at Halswell, was sentenced to one month's imprisonment. Ernest Albert Stevens was found guilty of assault with intent to rob, sentence being defererd till to-mor-row. Edith Matheson Malzard was found guilty of wilfully neglecting her infant child ill a manner likely to cause injury to its health. Accused, who is addicted to drink, left the infant for several days in the care of a girl of ft while she was away from home, and was discovered finally sutlering from helpless drunkenness. Sentence was deferred till to-day. Wellington, May 15. Elizabeth Buckmastcr, alias Sylvester, charged with theft, was found guilty of receiving stolen property. She was committed to the SalvalionArmy Home, and ordered to appear for sentence when called upon. Gisborue. May 15.
