EGMONT ROAD BOARD.
At ihe annual meeting of ratepayers in the Egniont Road District held "ion Saturday, the annual statement of accounts was adopted.
The Board met subsequently, and Mr l T. Rowc was re-elected chairman. In reply (0 a suggestion that the chairman should spend more time in Inspecting roads, Mr Rowc said that ailready a full day a week was devoted to the ratepayers, and sometimes more. Messrs Martin and Sampson were authorised to attend to repairs 0,11. O'Connor's road.
Mr Sampson was given authority to have side-channels (leaned and the formation repaired 011 the Egmont rontl. Some discussion took place as to Mr Chcflings' refusal to allow Mr Sampson... to use the gravel pit on his property, .- Mr Sampson informing the Board that be had made other arrangements.—No, action taken.
Accounts were passed, and ' i ho Board rose.
