Woods scored for the w'iuners. and Gibson converted. McCarlhv scored lor Eltham, Williams failing to "add the major points. Mr. T. .1. .Inliioi (Waitara) gave every satisfaction as referee, KM7IAM 11. (:!) v. STTiATI-'OJin H. (0) This game was played on Taumal.i Park, Eltham. just after the second junior match. The display of football'was good taken as a whole, the teams showing good condition for the commencement of the season. I'Uiy was of a very even and interesting nature. Early ill the second spell. Hansen crossed Stratford's line, and scored for Eltham. T. (ilentworth was entrusted with the kick at goal, hut failed. For the winners, T. (ilentworth, Hyde, Cooper, and Hansen showed up most prominently; whilst for Stratford Collins, 11. Cameron Warner, and Wilson played well. The decisions of the referee (Mr. Julian) were niost impartial, and gave every satisfaction.
