AUCKLAND OYSTER INDUSTRY.

Aucklnd, May 0. The Hon. Mr. Millar paid a visit today to the oyster beds at Waiheke Island. which have been closed for some years, but which local oyster fishermen now desire to be opened. A plentiful supply of excellent oysters was seen on the island. The Minister discussed the matter with the oystennen present, and (he local inspector, and intimated that he would make liis decision known later.
