invercargill, May S. Tlie annual communication of the .Masonic Cirand Lodge of Xew Zealand was held at Invercargill to-day, M.W. i!ro. Lord I'lunkett presiding, in his'capacity its (irand Master. There was a large muster of brethren from all parts of the colony. The balance-sheet showed accumulated funds ;CI2,4iJS, of which :Cli«-ll belonged to the Widows' and Orphans' and aged Masons' Fund, C 2741 to the fund of the benevolence, and C2l2t to the genieral fund.
At the instigation of the Grand Master, special efforts are lo be made to augment the Widows' and Orphans' and Aged Masons' Fund during the coming year.
Various boards' reports were uduplcd.
The election of elective officers resulted as follows:—MAY., Bro. J'retl C. I'inns, of Chrisiclmrch, was re-elected Pro-Grand .Master.

The report of the Board of (icneral Purposes made feeling reference to the death of M.W. Tiro. Right Hon. R. J, Seddon, P.G.M. It slated that the proposed conference of Australasian Grand Lodges bad not been held on account of the failure of Victoria and Tasmania to fall in with the idea, but it was hoped that their adhesion would yet be obtained, and the (Irand Lodges were therefore asked to authorise sending three accredited representatives to any such conference.
It was recommended that the rank of P.G.S. he conferred on every Brother who has held the oflice of Provincial or District Grand Master under any constitution, upon such brother becoming a member of the Grand Lodge; that Past Provincial or District Grand Officers of any constitution who have or shall become members of the Grand Lodge, be allowed to attend Grand Loge in regalia appertaining to their Past Provincial or District Grand rank, and that such rank be recognised bv the (Irand Lodge.
It was recommended liy tin; Board thai the next annual communication lie held in Auckland in May, 1008. Three new lodges were enrolled ilurin;,' the year, at lnvercargill, Roxburgh, and Pongaroa, tlie total number now being 150.' At the evening sitting, M.W. Urn. Lord Plunked was installed with elaborate ceremony. A. U M.W. liro. Mum was similarly inducted as Pro-tirand Master.
