ARBITRATION COURT.

Per Press Association. AUCKLAND TRAMWAY STRIKERS,

Auckland, May 0.

Family and Fletcher, tramway employees, were before the Arbitration Court charged with taking part in a movement intended to produce a strike. The men pleaded guilty. Counsel, in asking for mitigation of sentence, snid tli? men Icid a grievance and trouble might have been averted if the company had exercised tact. Decision was reserved.

INTERPRETATION OF AWARD.

The President of the Arbitration Court has given an interpretation of the award in the typographical trade, as far as concerns Wellington, to the effect that, jobbing compositors are entitled to be paid a weekly wage of £3, without any deduction for holidays specified under the award.
