Calcutta, May 5. "" The Rawal Pindi riots were the outcome of a British trade boycott. Public meetings of Hindus against the British were held at many towns, also rival meetings of respectable Hindus and Moslems «ii disassociate themselves with the agitation.

Five- native barristers nt Rawal Piudi wove arrested on a charge of inciting to riot ami with arson and seditious speeches. Bail was refused. The situation is being carefully watched, and incitement to violence rigorously suppressed.
