EXHBITION ORCHESTRA.
TO-NIGHT'S CONCERT.
1 -overs of music who have already heard the orchestra at the Exhibition, will be glad to again hear that it is, adiniiledlv, the finest musical combination ever organised in New Zealand. The fame of the orchestra has spread far and wide, and we feel sure that the people of Xew Plymouth will avail themselves of the opportunity of hearing this magnificent body of instrumentalists. A single farewell concert is to be given ill the _ Theatre Royal this evening, commencing at 7.45. Arrangements have been made for the steamer for Onej hunga to be detained so as to enable (he members of the orchestra to reach Auckland on Wednesday, on which date they are announced to give their first concert at Auckland. Wherever it has played the orchestra has created a taste for music of the better class, and it hits proved (o lie one of the strictly educative features of the Exhibition. ' The very great expense attendant on the formation of an orchestra, such as that which in a few days is to disband, makes it very unlikely that New Zealanders will for a very long lime have another opportunity of listening to oichfitral. music played as it will be .lived (his evening. The vocalist I \ :„• evening will be Mr. John Prousc ininent baritone, whose items, with .'.,11 orchestral accompaniment, should prove exceptionally enjoyable. The doors are (o open at 7 p.m., anil the box plan is now open at the Dresden. Patrons are advised to be sure of getting good seals by hooking eary.
