STAR SOCIAL.
The Star .Junior footballers have every reason to be satislieil with their social held at the Brougham street Hall last evening, Good weather prevailed, and over 70 eonples omipied the door, the | dancing" capacity being considerably overtaxed. Tin. 1 music, supplied by .Mr. I Rountree (piano), assisted by Mr. Garry, jur. (cornet), was excellent, and the lloor I was in perfect dancing order. The duties of M.sC. were ably carried out by Messrs. J no. Clarke and K. Humphries. When it is staled that .Mr. .1. AY. Thompson had charge of the supper, it is a suilieient guarantee that that department received full justice. Despite the over crowded floor, all present spent a very pleasant time. Dancing was kept up until the early hours of this morning. Songs were rendered by Messrs 11. Moon, A. Courtney, and Cook, the two former singers also giving a duet in good style. A cornet solo by Mr. Garrat, junr., was I an enjoyable item.
