HON. MR. BOLT'S FUNERAL.

Per Press Association. Duuedin, Mav 2. The funeral of the Hon. W. M. Bolt, M.lj.C., who died suddenly on Monday evening on the journey from Waipori to Berwick, took place this afternoon. The i'ev. Win. Saunders conducted flie service at the residunce of deceased, after which a large cortege followed the eoliin to the Northern Cemetery, where (he graveside service was also' conducted by Mr, Saunders. Resides relations of deceased, there was a large number present, including representatives of various public bodies, and the tiovcrnment Departments. A number of wreaths were received from Ministers and public boilies. Ihe pull-bearers were chosen from members of both Houses of Parliament, and comprised the Hons. (I. ■lenkinson, Ceorge Jones, .1. J!. Callan, .1. 'l'. Paul, and .l.'lt. Sinclair, M.sL.C., ami Mr. .1. I'. Arnold, M.l[.U. Following the mourning coaches were the Mayor (Mr, Loudon), the ex-Mayor (Mr.'fi. Lawrence), City Councillors, and flie Town Clerk, besides representatives of the City Corporation statr (of which one of_ Mr. Holt's sons is a member), Messrs. \V. Hurnett and U. Esther (Chairman and Secretary respectively of the Duuedin Drainage Board), Messrs. 'J'. K. Sidey, and <i. Barclav, M.'sH.R.
