Mr A. K. Sykes was a passenger front the South by last night's express. The Hon. J. McCiowan, Minister for Mines, arrived by tlw mail (rain from Auckland last night, and went North by boat to Auckland. Mr J. W. Thomson, of New Plymouth, returned last night from a three weeks' (rip to Canterbury, Olngo and Southland. Mr 0. 11. Maunder was a passenger from Wellington to Hawera by yesterday's train. Hon. ,1. A.' Millar, Minister for Labor and Marine, and Hon. ("1. Fowlds, Minister of Education, arc expected to pass through New Plymouth to-night on their way northwards.
