The New Plymouth Caledonian Society decided that the prize money be impounded in the case <?f the two competitors', J. Feaver and C. Capel, for competingat Te Kiri, an unregistered meeting, pending the decision of the Asso cialtdon. It was resolved at the meeting that these two competitors be disqualified for six months. It having come under the notice of the Association that the Warea Athletic Club had run under Association rules without appiying for a permit or submitting programmes for approval, placing all competitors at the Warea meeting under disqualification, it was resolved that an affiliation fee be demanded from the Warea Club immediately, otherwise the Club would be disqualified. Prize money was al-o withheld by the Opunake Caledonian Society re C. leaver and H. Ward competing at unregistered meetings, pending tile decision of the Association. 'lt was resolved by the Association that the two competitors mentioned be disqualified for twelve months. The North Taranaki Caledonian Society asked for a ruung in connection with A. P. Ingley, who won the liurdlo race at Waitara. This competitor only partially jumped the hurdies by taking them at the end and carrying only one leg over. A protest was entered by ithe second man and the stakes were withheld pending the Association's decision. It was resolved that the Society be advised that Ingley fulfilled all requirements in the hurdle race an.l that he be entitied to the prize money. The present season which has just closed has been a very successful one right through Taranaki, some twenty clubs having affiiliated throughout the province, several of which were new societies. This was a decided increase on the number of societies which affiliated in the season 1005-1900.—Post.
