DRUNKEN MOTHER'S PREDICAMENT.
Per Press Association. Cliristchui'eh, April 20. _ At the Magistrate's Court this mornnig, Edith Malzard was charged with the manslaughter of her eliild, Mabel Malzard, through having caused its death by failing to give it suilicieut care food and attention. The charge arose out of the verdict of the jury at the inquest held on Thursday. The neetised was remanded to Friday next. Charges of drunkenness aud breach of a prohibition order preferred against her were held over for a week.
