CHARITABLE AID.
Per Press Association. Duncdiu, April 18. At a. meeting of the Charitable Aid Hoard 10-day, then* was a long discussion on the distribution of charity funds, it being argued by some that the present district, embracing a great.portion of (Hugo, is much too large to allow fair treatment being meted out to country contributors as compared with the the city. The distribution here is niuler , the control of two bodies, the Charitable j Aid Jloard and the Uenevolent Trustees, j the immediate distribution being made (t by the hitter. Dr. Jiachelor thought it : was largely in consequence of this that \ the dissatisfaction had arisen. lie | thought the board should meet the trus- A tees, and come to some understanding ( * with them. This was agreed to. and a c . conference of the two bodies will be held t in about a fortnight. ()
