SHOCKING RAILWAY FATALITY.

Amelia Bisphnii, wile of George Bisphan, of Nelson, was run over and killed alongside the railway platform at Lyttelton. airs, liisplutu, who was staving with her brother, air. (*ln reaching.Lyttelton the ti !,iu slowed down considerably, airs. Itisplm evidently attempted to'alight at tin. eastern end of the platform, and fell mder the carriage. She was killed instantly, the body being shockingly mangled. The chest was crushed in, and the left leg completely severed by the wheels. An inquest was held this afternoon, when the jury returned a verdict ot accidental death. There was no evidence to show how the woman got under the train.
