KILLED IN THE BUSH.
VOCNG MAN FATALLY CRUSHED. A young man named Thomas Coldrick met his death suddenly on Thursday afternoon in the hush from which the Carrington road sawmill draws its logs. He was engaged at the miil in jacking logs on to the trucks or trollies and bringing them to the mill. Yesterday afternoon, at about '2 o'clock, he was using the jack on a big log when by some means his implement slipped, the log was set at liberty, and rolled on him, crushing his head and shoulders. Death was instantaneous. Mr Dnyios brought the mangled body in to the morgue at New Plymouth, and an inquest will he held this morning. The deceased, who is 24 years of age, and single, hailed from the Inglcwood district.
