PATENT MEDICINES.
COMMONWEALTH IMPORTS TO BE ANALYSED. Melbourne, April 9. The Customs Department is taking steps to test accuracy of the descriptions of medicinal preparations entering the Commonwealth, to ascertain whether they are injurious to health. Unless there is strong suspicion of serious misdescription imporations will not be detained pending the inquiry.
