At a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Bank of New Zealand yesterday, Mr Harold Beauchauip, of Wellington, was elected chairman. .Mr Beauchamp has been a director for eight years and acting-chairman for ten months in 1905. Miss B. Tilly, who will act as instructress in the cookery classes at the New Plymouth Technical School, arrives this morning from Auckland. Mr B. Ci. Whotter, assistant inspector under the T'aranaki Education Board, will arrive in town this afternoon from the South. He had expected to reach New Plymouth on Thursday, but missed the train at Wellington. Sir 11. Stratford, Marlborough, has accepted the position of headmaster „t the Ngaire school. Mr Stratford was also an applicant for a post at Pieton, and his delay m accepting Ngaire mav thus ,bo accounted for. • Among the Justices of the Peace an nouueed in last night's Cazcttc are the following:—William Albert Carter, or Alangapapa Valley, Maticre; Ceorge Nathaniel Christian, of Kotare, Chan; George Davy, of Fitzroy; William Bavlis Fussel, of Lepperton; William lingers of Stratford; Prank Mohhis Staudish, 'of Turata; and William Wilson Kerr, of Ohakune.
