A serious case, in which poison was apparently wilfully administered with deadly eli'eet to a horse, has just occurred at Hamilton. At the request of a young man a local chemist, provMed a harmless drench for a thorough-bred horse, valued at about J-tlO. Soon after the drench was administered the animal died in great agony, and invesItigation proved that death was due lo arsenical poisoning. The police are busily engaged making enquiries with
