VISIT OF JAPANESE WARSHIPS.

Per L'ress Association. Wellington, April 2. The Governor paid an ollicial visit to the Japanese Admiral yesterday, the hitler having previously wailed on Lord I'lunkett.. Members of the Harbor Hoard also visited the Japanese warships. The otlicers and crews of the visiting vessels were guests of the Mission to Seamen all yesterday, and were welcomed by the Bishops of Wellington and Melanesia. About (iOO Japanese sailors, with 100 British merchantmen and hoys from the colonial training ship, Amokiira, inarched into the country, where sports were indulged in. Cheers were given for the British King and the Mikado. In the evening the visitors were entertained at a concert.

Vicc-Admirnl Tomioka, commanding the Japanese warships now visiting Wellington, acompanied by several members of his stall', paid an ollicial visits today to the Hon. l)r. Findlay, as representative of the Government, and to his Worship the Mayor.
