ODDFELLOWSHIP.

VISIT OK TIIF. (IRANI) OFFICERS. | Owing to the holidays, and the fact that many members were out of town last night, there was not a very large gathering at the meeting of the Loval Egmont Lodge. 1.0.0. F., ALL., to receive a visit from the Grand Master of the New Zealand branch, liro. A. N. Batcliclor, and Hie Corresponding Secretary, liro. Kershaw. About forty attended, amongst them being N.C. liro. Chiyers and V.C. Pro. T. JSiwn, and other olliccrs and members of the Egmont Lodge; and representatives of the Excelsior, Stratford, Toko, Kaponga, Waikato, Auckland. Nelson, Thames, and Wauganni lodges. Prov. CM. liro. C. J). Sole presided, and among (lie other ollicers present were: D.P.G.M. liro. F. Oliver, I'iov. C.N. P.ro. C. E. Bellringcr, P.I'.G.M. liro. John Leydon, P.P.G.M. liro. Harris Ford, P.P.G.M, liro. H. T. Ainsworth, l'.G. liro. C. Oliver, and P.G. P.ro. I. Morison.

Lodge honors were acoerded the visiting brethren. Two candidates were balloted for and initiated with the usual ceremonies, the initiation charge being delivered by G.M. liro. llatchelor, ami the signs by the I'.G.M.

The Grand olliccrs addressed (he lodge, touching on various matters affecting the minds of the brethren throughout the colony.

On the motion of Prov. C.S. Tiro. Hellringer, seconded by P.P.G.M. liro. Ainsworth, hearty voles of thanks were accorded (he visiting olliccrs. At the conclusion of the meeting a social gathering was held in honor of the visitors, and a short toast list was disposed of. The Grand olliccrs leave for south this morning.
