THE ENTOMBED MINER
SPLENDID RESCUE WORK. Perth, March 26. Hughes, in diving dress, visited Vcrischetti, who maintains good health. Hughes's first appearance struek terror to the prisoner. Letters from Verisehetti's hrotlur have been conveyed to him. The diver encountered many difficulties, and had a couple of narrow escapes, losing the weights from his feet on two occasions, making it difficult to keep upright. At one point the pass is so narrow that Hughes has to wriggle through.
