ADJACENT SETTLERS PROTEST. Per Press Association. Wellington, March 25. The decision of the Covernment to establish a leper station on Kapiti Isl(ind ia strongly resented by settlers at Paekakarikei, Parapararimu and other places between Porirua and Otalu, and steps arc to be taken to iniduce the authorities if possible to abandon the .-scheme.
