Ceorge Morion, a passenger on the inland Patea coach, was killed on Saturday, 'The kingbolt of the vehicle broke, and .Morton was thrown under the coach, lie suffered injuries from which he died. Deceased is believed to have been married aud to have a brothel' in Wellington. Dunedin, March 25. Isaac Selby, about 84, was knocked down by a car this morning. It appears that the man is stone deaf, and did not hear the approach of the car, as he was crossing the street. When the motorman saw him, he immediately began to pull up the ear, thinking the man was intending to board it. When Ihe ear was within a yard of him, Selby stepped right on to the line, aud was knocked down. The car did not pass over him, but, threw him to the side, (lis leit hand and forehead received several abrasion s, but the old man is more likely to suffer from shock' than limn actual injuries.
