The Yiekers, Son and Maxim Company lias invented a system of driving warships by gas, obviating the use of funnels and thus giving an all-round fire. New York, March 22. Mr Nixon, an American marine architect, has patented an engine worked by petroleum gas. lie claims that it will enable him to cross the Atlantic in four days.
